We enjoyed our first MN Thanksgiving today. It was a quiet day with just the three of us (okay, 4. Hayden insists that Leia counts!) but we did miss sharing the day with family. Today brought us sunshine and daytime temps of 5. This weekend is forecast to be in the 30's so it will feel like a heatwave. We spent family time playing games and watching football and now cheering on our Jets as I write. And no worries that we will be cheering on the Vikings or Twins as we remain loyal to Yankee blue and Jets green.

Too long...
Wow...has it really been almost a year since I updated this? I guess facebook just became easier!
Well, with another year brings another move for our family. In late March, Todd was promoted and his new position took him to Edina, MN just outside Minneapolis. We put our house on the market then, but did not receive an offer until the end of September as we were pulling out the driveway for MN. Todd had commuted every week from PA to MN for 6 months. Needless to say that got old after about a week! But God took care of everything, in His time, not ours and we now own only one home again instead of two. Whew.
While Todd was working here, he was the one to go on the house hunting trips. He found a house and we agreed to put an offer on it, but I only saw the pictures online. We took a huge leap of faith and things worked out. We absolutely love the neighborhood and the town. We are about 25 miles outside of the Twin Cities but it does not feel that far. Our town is small and quaint with about 6,000 people and 1 stoplight...love it!
Hayden seems to be doing well in his new school and has made some new friends. There are lots of kids in the neighborhood and everyone is out when the weather is nice. However we do miss our friends in Central PA and they will always hold a special place in our lives.
As for the weather, it was absolutely beautiful the first month we were here and has just recently turned cold. We had our first MN snow storm this past Saturday and that brought us about 11" of heavy wet snow. Unfortunately it also brought us about 24 hours without power.
I will try to get some new pictures soon. We hope this finds you all well.

Okay, so I know that our snow totals in Central PA are nothing compared to back home in Colorado, especially this year. But we have had 2 snowfalls, one a dusting and last nights was a little more, and great for snowman making. But Hayden had school today, and the weather was turning warmer so I headed out to make the snowman and have it waiting for Hayden before everything melted.
We spent Thanksgiving with Nana & GrandBob in NC, and Hayden helped Nana decorate.
Hayden had his school holiday concert last night, and it was great. The 4th and 5th grade did a wonderful job and it was enjoyed by all. Unfortunately, Todd was in Houston (again) so he was not able to go ;o(

Fall Happenings in Central PA
Yes, I have been away too long. I have become a victim of Facebook and I am sorry!
Here are some recent photos. In the past few days, most of the leaves have fallen, but I was able to get some shots of the view from our neighborhood yesterday.
We have trick-or-treat in our township this evening so there are some pics of Hayden, or Spock, and his dog, as well as our pumpkin carving of a Puffle from Club Penguin.

WE ARE REDMEN!
I finished reading the book "Our Boys" about the Smith Center Redmen football team. I grew up about an hour from there, and my family is from there. My grandparents still live there and my mom has been there visiting for the past week and a half. It made me extremely homesick for my childhood days and there are so many memories in Smith Center.
Nana sent Hayden a shirt from there this week, and he is proudly wearing it today!!

First Day of 4th Grade!!
Today was the first day of school here and Hayden was off to 4th grade. His teacher is Mr. Wade and that is who Hayden wanted! Aside from being a great teacher, he grew up in Colorado, so he is a Bronco Fan!! And Hayden thinks that is so cool, being that is where he was born!!
He wanted to wear his Bronco shirt today, but I explained that he should wait at least a few days!! So we opted for our other team, the Yankees!!I am anxious to hear how is day went.
